Thanks for joining me! This site, TOM’S TALES & TRAVELS, is all about my literal TRAVELS to different parts of the world that I’ll be taking in the context of my ministry with Global Training Network, which is training and encouraging national/indigenous pastors. But it will also be about my meandering spiritual, intellectual and relational journeys and discoveries (the TALES part.) What will we see together? Well, if you travel with me a bit, I hope that the eyes in your head and the eyes of your heart will gain an acuity that will enable you to truly SEE not only what is going on, but what (and Who) is behind it all. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, in his beloved book, Le Petit Prince, states, “On ne voit bien qu’avec le coeur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.” (“It is only with the heart that we see well. What is essential is invisible to our eyes.”)
So, let’s get started on our journeys together. The literal Global Training Network ministry TRAVELS are being planned out (currently targeting Congo, Haiti and Quebec.) Along the way, there will be some TALES added here and there that will, hopefully, improve our vision together. Lots to discover.

Tom, thrilled to hear your Tom’s Travel’s! We need to hear about the gospel message being taught to national leaders but even more impactful
would be to hear your “heart songs” as Father speaks to you in each country.
Your personal thoughts, insights, and challenges will encourage us to press
on in the faith despite whatever lies ahead for our country and our
pursuit of loving God more and having the Word transform us.
